Evo što kažu na Korg forumu:

Software locking
It's a strictly commercial option , with specially formatted USB sticks that Korg will provide to developer if ordering a specific minimum number of sticks and seems to be very expensive for an end-user , or cheaper option to hire a third-party software developer that already owns this source code ( as usually happens with most in circulation).
Developers are aware of all those !

Hardware locking
This option is more feasible and low cost for end-users , but a technician is required to modify USB ports and enable/disable them either with an actual electric key that user owns , nor using a num- pad board or micro dip-switches , dialing code/turn on numbers , with logic gates circuit to activate USB ports when required.
