We thank you for purchasing and playing a Yamaha Tyros keyboard.
To extend the features included in the Tyros5 Arranger Workstation, we have introduced the software program 'Yamaha Expansion Manager ' and at the same time presented and announced further upgrade versions.
Due to many suggestions that we would like to include in the development, the completion of the announced upgrade versions 2.0.0 and 2.1.0 is delayed.
We ask for your understanding about this.

Functions:
A new comprehensive Voice Creator function is integrated for the first time in this version. It allows the full creation and editing of normal-play Voices and Drum Voices - each based on your own sample wave files.
Detailed Editing is available with parameters for sound volume , pan, pitch , envelopes, etc. Also, the switching of sounds via touch response is possible. Normal play-voices can contain up to 8 elements.
You can collect all of your voices in Expansion Manager and create a new expansion pack which can be installed via Wi-Fi or USB Flash memory (an optional Flashboard must be previously installed in your Tyros5).
The new voices you create will be compatible with the Tyros5 and other future Yamaha keyboards that support an expansion function.
If you connect your computer to Tyros5 via USB, you can control the new voices during sound editing by the Tyros5 keyboard. For mobile use, the Yamaha Expansion Manager contains a fully-fledged software synthesizer to edit or play your new sound on your laptop, independent of the Tyros.
